Lycan Completes Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Is it a Game-Changer?

Lycan has three primary goals for its future riders: 1) Improve safety & security, 2) modernize how one can design and acquire a motorcycle, and 3) revolutionize the industry with its advanced technologies.

So far, with the completion of its Minimum Viable Product (MVP) consisting of:

  1. Builder X, a cloud- and app-based* platform that allows users to design their own motorcycles easily,

  2. Motorcycle prototypes, as proof of concept that Lycan has the ability and capabilities of developing its own motorcycles, and

  3. Smart technologies, providing IoT and AI functionalities inside (and outside) its motorcycles

the company has made good on its promise and vision that it stated and released during its Transpire: 2021 virtual launch that happened on December 11, 2021, which sets the path now for Lycan to proceed in finalizing its developments further before entering production and distribution.

But for clarities sake, what is a Minimum Viable Product?

To summarize: in the business world, a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is a working and functional product with all the basic and minimal features it needs to offer as its unique value proposition, excluding any or additional features and add-ons. It's a stage between a concept and a commercialized product.

Earlier this year, Lycan showcased its Builder X platform first where actual users and riders can now and were able to design their very own Lycan motorcycle. Following an online design contest, the company developed and showcased an actual output of a selected winning design, highlighting a fully-functional and working motorcycle. Lastly, to cap it off, Lycan CEO Jaggy Gangat demonstrated in a video the application of its in-motorcycle technologies that will be available in all commercial motorcycles and Lycan smart helmets soon.

The technologies showcased were its impact detection and notification system, its biometric functionalities, and voice-activated commands using the proprietary LUNA AI technology. To ensure safety of Lycan's intellectual properties, other technologies available will be demonstrated and announced during its official product launching by 2023.

With the series of recent demonstrations, Lycan is working to give riders a novel experience in using its motorcycles by letting customers design their own Filipino-made high-tech motorcycles.

"Design your own Filipino-made high-tech motorcycles"

The Builder X platform, the motorcycles, and the technologies are all in itself separate product offerings combined into one to create a better experience for the market. As Lycan develops its own motorcycles and technologies locally -- a competitive advantage that fosters faster adaptation to market wants, needs, and trends -- it sees to serve its Filipino audiences better.

But what do you think? Do you see Lycan and its products and technologies a game-changing Filipino company that can make it big in the coming years? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
